Sections 2, 3 and 4(3) shall have effect only until the first meeting of the new

 

Parliament after the next parliamentary general election, but that

 

Parliament or any subsequent Parliament may bring those sections back

COMMONS DISAGREEMENT AND REASON

 

The Commons disagree to Lords Amendments Nos. 1, 2 and 9 for the following Reason—

9A

Because the Commons do not consider it appropriate that the continuing operation of the

 

provisions of the Bill should be dependent upon periodic resolutions of each House of

 

Parliament.

 

LORDS INSISTENCE AND REASON

 

The Lords insist on their Amendments 1, 2 and 9 for the following Reason—

9B

Because it is appropriate that the continuing operation of the provisions of the Bill should

 

be dependent upon periodic resolutions of each House of Parliament.
