16 Short title, commencement and extent

(1) This Act may be cited as the Defamation Act 2012.

(2) This section and subsections (4) to (8) of section 15 come into force on the day
on which this Act is passed.

(3) 5The other provisions of this Act come into force on such day as the Secretary of
State may by order made by statutory instrument appoint.

(4) This Act extends to England and Wales only.
