| | The amendment would provide that the fine for failing to comply with a requirement to make an |

| Clause 5, page 5, line 15, at end insert— |

| | ‘(9) | Regulations under subsection (2) must require registration officers to include on |
|
| | invitations given under subsection (1)— |
|
| | (a) | a clear statement to the effect that the edited electoral register is available |
|
| | for general sale and is used by organisations for commercial activities, as |
|
| | well as for other civic purposes; and |
|
| | (b) | clear instructions on how to opt out of the edited electoral register.’. |
