TO

Amend the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982 to require
those providing a service from a fixed pitch in a designated area to apply for a
licence to trade; and for connected purposes.

Be it enacted by the Queen’s most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and
consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present
Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1 Street Trading

(1) The Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982 is amended as
follows.

(2) In Schedule 4, paragraph 1, sub-paragraph (1) leave out “or offering for sale of
5any article” and insert “, offering or providing for sale of any article or service”.

2 Citation, commencement and extent

(1) This Act may be cited as the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act
1982 (Amendment) Act.

(2) This Act extends to England and Wales only.

(3) 10This Act comes into force two months after Royal Assent.
