The provisions of this Act come into force on such day or days as the Secretary

 

of State may appoint by regulations made by statutory instrument.”

This amendment allows the Secretary of State to make regulations about when the provisions of

 

the Bill are to come into force.

Clause  15,  page  11,  line  26,  leave out subsection (4) and add—

 

“(4)    

Sections 1 to 5 of this Act may only come into force after—

 

(a)    

the report of an independent review, commissioned by the Secretary of

 

State, of changes to ministerial powers and duties contained in sections 1

 

to 5 of this Act has so recommended;

(b)    

any such report has been laid before each House of Parliament and

 

approved under affirmative resolution procedure; and

 

(c)    

subject to subsections (5) and (6).

 

(5)    

This Act shall not come into force before 1 April 2016 and thereafter only as

 

provided for under subsection (6).

 

(6)    

Subject always to subsections (4) and (5), this Act shall come into force upon an

 

order made by the Secretary of State under the affirmative resolution procedure.”
