Legalisation of Cannabis (Medicinal Purposes) Bill (HC Bill 108)

Allow the production, supply, possession and use of cannabis and cannabis
resin for medicinal purposes; and for connected purposes.

Be it enacted by the Queen’s most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and
consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present
Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1 Rescheduling of cannabis and cannabis resin

(1) The Misuse of Drugs Regulations 2001 are amended as follows.

(2) In paragraph 1(a) of Schedule 1, omit “Cannabis (not being the substance
specified in paragraph 5 of Part 1 of Schedule 4) and cannabis resin”.

(3) 5In paragraph 1 of Schedule 2, after “Bezitramide”, insert “Cannabis (not being
the substance specified in paragraph 5 of Part 1 of Schedule 4) and cannabis
resin”.

2 Extent, commencement and short title

(1) This Act extends to England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

(2) 10This Act comes into force at the end of the period of two months after the
passing of the Act.

(3) This Act may be cited as the Legalisation of Cannabis (Medicinal Purposes) Act
2018.
