Destitution Domestic Violence Concession (Eligibility) Bill (HC Bill 361)

TO

Require the Secretary of State to report on extending eligibility for the
destitution domestic violence concession to European Economic Area
nationals and persons other than those granted immigration entry clearance as
a partner; and for connected purposes.

Be it enacted by the Queen’s most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and
consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present
Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1 Report on eligibility for the destitution domestic violence concession

(1) The Secretary of State must publish a report on extending eligibility for the
destitution domestic violence concession to European Economic Area
nationals and persons other than those granted immigration entry clearance as
5a partner.

(2) “Destitution domestic violence concession” has the same meaning as in the
Immigration and Nationality (Fees) Regulations 2018 (S.I. 2018/330S.I. 2018/330).

(3) The report must be laid before Parliament within six months of this Act coming
into force.

2 10Extent, commencement and short title

(1) This Act extends to England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

(2) This Act comes into force on the day it is passed.

(3) This Act may be cited as the Destitution Domestic Violence Concession
(Eligibility) Act 2019.
