To move the following Clause—

“Ongoing police and judicial cooperation in criminal matters

(1)

Her Majesty’s Government must seek to ensure that the provisions of Title V of

the Withdrawal Agreement (“Ongoing police and judicial cooperation in criminal

matters”) continue to apply beyond 31 December 2020 unless and until an

agreement on the future relationship between the United Kingdom and European

Union has been concluded that meets the condition set out in subsection (2).

(2)

The condition in this subsection is that an agreement on the future relationship has

been reached which provides for a security partnership as set out in Part III of the

Political Declaration.”

Member’s explanatory statement

This new Clause would require the Government to seek an extension to the transitional
