Make provision to move the polling day of all elections to a Saturday.

Be it enacted by the Queen’s most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and
consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present
Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1 Duty to ensure that all elections are held on a Saturday

The Secretary of State must by regulations provide for polling day for all
elections to be a Saturday beginning with the next General Election.

2 Regulations

5Regulations under this Act are to be made by statutory instrument subject to
annulment in pursuance of a resolution of either House of Parliament.

3 Extent, commencement and short title

(1) This Act extends to the whole of the United Kingdom.

(2) This Act commences on the day on which it is passed.

(3) 10This Act may be cited as the Polling Day (Saturday) Act 2015.
