PRE-RECESS ADJOURNMENT DEBATE: THURSDAY 20 DECEMBER
The Backbench Business Committee has allocated Thursday 20 December for a pre-recess Adjournment debate, using the new style adopted in the 2010-12 session whereby, for the first half, debates are grouped by department and responded to by the relevant Minister. The second section of the debate will provide an opportunity for Members to raise general matters.
Members wishing to speak in the debate should inform the Table Office either in person, by email (tableoffice@parliament.uk) or by phone (3302 and 3303) not later than 12.00 pm on Friday 14 December. In so doing, it would be helpful to know the proposed topic for debate and the department expected to answer, where relevant.
The Backbench Business Committee will determine the departmental grouping of debates, and further details on the arrangements for the day will be published in Future Business B on Monday 17 December.
