Helen Johnson Consulting Limited is retained by the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS) to provide secretariat assistance. NRAS itself also provides (minimal) secretariat assistance and meets the cost of group meetings and events. In 2006 NRAS received £2000 from each of following commercial organisations to enable it to provide support to the group: Roche Products Limited, Abbott Laboratories Limited, Wyeth Laboratories, Schering-Plough Limited, UCB Pharma Limited (registered November 2006). In 2007 NRAS has received £2000 from Bristol-Myers Squibb Limited (registered April 2007).
