TITLE
All-Party Parliamentary Group on the Great Lakes Region and Genocide Prevention
PURPOSE To ensure the Great Lakes region is on the UK political agenda and encourage discussion of regional issues; to promote and monitor peace and sustainable development in the region; and to co-ordinate parliamentary activity and lobby ministers.

£5000 from CAFOD and £2500 from International Alert (registered July 2006). £6000 from Christian Aid. In July 2006 3 members of the group visited the Democratic Republic of Congo. Cost of air fares, insurance, travel and accommodation within the country were paid for by Christian Aid (registered November 2006). £1500 from the Rainforest Foundation (registered December 2006) £6000 from Tearfund and £6500 from the Woodward Charitable Trust (registered March 2007).
