26-30 June 2003, in my capacity as Liberal Democrat Shadow Defence Secretary I visited Washington DC to meet members of Congress, the Administration and industry to discuss US/UK defence exports. I was accompanied by my wife and son. The UK Defence Forum met the expenses to the extent of one business class return air fare and hotel room; additional expenses I met myself.
