15-19 October 2007, to Seattle, Washington State USA, to the Malaria Forum invited by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in my capacity as Chairman of the Malaria Consortium, Chairman of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Malaria and as a voluntary Trustee Director of the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation paid for my travel and accommodation costs. (Registered 25 October 2007)
7-9 February 2008, to Tanzania, at the invitation of Flagship Consulting Limited for the official opening of the Olyset® Net factory in my role as the Chairman of the All-Party Parliamentary Groups on Tanzania and on Malaria, and also as voluntary Chairman of the Malaria Consortium (NGO). 21-24 June 2007, to USA, to attend the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) World Forum in Beaver Creek, Colorado. My accommodation, ground transportation and meals were all paid for by the AEI. The cost of flights from New York to Vail, Colorado and from Vail to Chicago were paid for by Alan Howard of Brevan Howard Asset Management.
