14-25 September 2008, to Nigeria, Uganda and Southern Sudan to visit Malaria Consortium Projects in my capacity as voluntary non-executive Chairman of the Malaria Consortium and Chairman of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Malaria and Neglected Tropical Diseases. 28-31 January 2009, to Davos, Switzerland, to attend and participate in the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting. The World Economic Forum provided my conference pass, occasional car use in Davos (including airport transfers) and some hospitality. The return part of my journey was made by private plane from Altenrhein, Switzerland, to RAF Northolt, provided by IPGL Limited, London. (My outward journey was paid for by the Conservative Party.) 8-10 May 2009, to Washington DC, USA, to attend the White House Correspondents' Dinner. My wife and I attended as guests of the Mayor of New York, Michael Bloomberg. The cost of our ground transportation, accommodation and hospitality was met by Bloomberg LP.
