2 Kent County Council Bill [Lords],—The Order of the day being read, for the Second Reading of the Kent County Council Bill [Lords];

    Ordered, That the Bill be read a second time on Thursday 4th May.

3 Medway Council Bill [Lords],—The Order of the day being read, for the Second Reading of the Medway Council Bill [Lords];

    Ordered, That the Bill be read a second time on Thursday 4th May.

4 Liaison,—Mr Robert Sheldon reported, pursuant to Standing Order No. 145 (Liaison Committee), That the Liaison Committee had directed him to report that it had chosen the Fourth Report of the Environment, Transport and Regional Affairs Committee, Session 1999-2000, on the Work of the Health and Safety Executive, (House of Commons Paper No. 31-I), and the first Report from the Health Committee, Session 1999-2000, on the Cost and Availability of Generic Drugs to the NHS, (House of Commons Paper No. 105), to be debated on Wednesday 17th May, pursuant to Standing Order No. 10 (Wednesday sittings), and the Order of 24th May 1999, in the last Session of Parliament, relating to sittings in Westminster Hall.

5 Northern Ireland Grand Committee,—Mr John McWilliam reported from the Northern Ireland Grand Committee, That it had considered the matter of the state of agriculture in Northern Ireland, referred to it on 3rd April, and had directed him to report accordingly to the House.

6 Sex Discrimination (Amendment) Bill,—The Order for reading the Sex Discrimination (Amendment) Bill a second time on Friday 5th May was read and discharged.

    Ordered, That the Bill be read a second time on Friday 12th May.

7 Licensing (Cannabis) Bill,—Paul Flynn presented a Bill to allow the supply and consumption of cannabis and cannabis resin on licensed premises: And the same was read the first time; and ordered to be read a second time on Friday 9th June and to be printed [Bill 113].

8 Adjournment (Armed Forces Personnel),—A Motion was made, and the Question being proposed, That this House do now adjourn—(Mr David Clelland);

    And it being Seven o'clock, the Motion for the adjournment of the House lapsed, without Question put.

9 Public Petitions,—A Public Petition from Prestonville Community Association for the protection of allotment land and wildlife areas in urban environments was presented and read; and ordered to lie upon the Table and to be printed.

10 Adjournment,—Resolved, That this House do now adjourn.—(Mr Graham Allen.)

    And accordingly the House, having continued to sit till twenty-nine minutes past Seven o'clock, adjourned till to-morrow.
