PRAYERS.
1Contingencies Fund 1998-99,—Ordered, That there be laid before this House Accounts of the Contingencies Fund, 1998-99, showing—
 
        (1) The receipts and payments in connection with the Fund in the year ended the 31st day of March 1999.
 
        (2) The distribution of the capital of the Fund at the commencement and close of the year; with the Report of the Comptroller and Auditor General thereon,—(Mr Don Touhig.)
2Mersey Tunnels Bill,—Ordered, That the Mersey Tunnels Bill be read a second time on Thursday 4th May.
3School Crossings (Amendment) Bill,—Ordered, That the School Crossings (Amendment) Bill be read a second time on Friday 9th June.
4Adjournment,—A Motion was made, pursuant to Order [23rd March], That this House do now adjourn—(Mr Don Touhig);
 
        And the Question being proposed;
 
        And it being Eleven o'clock, the Speaker interrupted the proceedings to permit a Ministerial statement to be made;
 
        And the Question being again proposed;
 
        And it being half-past Twelve o'clock, the Motion for the adjournment of the House lapsed, without Question put.
5Public Petitions,—A Public Petition from people in London for aid to be directed to education for child labourers was presented and read; and ordered to lie upon the Table and to be printed.
6Adjournment,—A Motion was made, and the Question being proposed, That this House do now adjourn—(Mr Tony McNulty);
 
        And it being One o'clock, the Deputy Speaker adjourned the House, without Question put, till Tuesday 2nd May, pursuant to Orders [1st and 23rd March].
