The House met at half-past Nine o'clock.

PRAYERS.

1    High Hedges Bill,-The House, according to Order, proceeded to consider the High Hedges Bill, not amended in the Standing Committee.

    A Clause (Established hedges)-(Mr Christopher Chope)-brought up and read the first time.

    Question put, That the Clause be read a second time.

    The House divided.

      Tellers for the Ayes, Mr Jim Cunningham, Mr Andrew Dismore: 1.

      Tellers for the Noes, Mr John M. Taylor, Mr Christopher Gill: 35.

    Another Clause (Complaint where relevant authority is owner or occupier of land)-(Mr Christopher Chope)-brought up, read the first and second time, and added to the Bill.

    Another Clause (Offences committed by bodies corporate)-(Mr Eric Forth)-brought up and read the first time.

    Question put, That the Clause be read a second time.

    The House divided.

      Tellers for the Ayes, Mr Eric Forth, Mr Christopher Chope: 1.

      Tellers for the Noes, Mr John M. Taylor, Mr Jim Cunningham: 26.

    And it appearing on the report of the Division that fewer that forty Members had taken part in the Division, the Deputy Speaker declared that the question was not decided, and the business under consideration stood over until the next Sitting of the House.

2    Human Fertilisation and Embryology (Deceased Fathers) Bill,-The House, according to Order, proceeded to consider the Human Fertilisation and Embryology (Deceased Fathers) Bill, as amended in the Standing Committee;

    Amendment (No. 18) proposed to the Bill, in page 1, line 28, at the end, to insert the words ', and provided that the obtaining of the sperm was lawful, and that the storage, if any, and treatment were lawful under this Act'.-(Dr Evan Harris.)

    Question proposed, That the Amendment be made:-Amendment, by leave, withdrawn.

    A Motion was made, and the Question being proposed, That the Bill be now read the third time;

    And it being half-past Two o'clock, the Debate stood adjourned.

    Ordered, That the Debate be resumed on Friday 11th May.

3    European Union (Implications of Withdrawal) (No. 2) Bill,-The Order of the day being read, for the Second Reading of the European Union (Implications of Withdrawal) (No. 2) Bill;

    Ordered, That the Bill be read a second time on Friday 11th May.

4    Register of Drug Trafficking Offenders Bill,-The Order of the day being read, for resuming the adjourned Debate on the Question proposed on 23rd March, That the Register of Drug Trafficking Offenders Bill be now read a second time;

    Ordered, That the Bill be read a second time on Friday 11th May.

5    Adoption of Sewers Bill,-The Order of the day being read, for the Second Reading of the Adoption of Sewers Bill;

    Ordered, That the Bill be read a second time on Friday 18th May.

6    Siting of Telecommunications Masts Bill,-The Order of the day being read, for the second reading of the Siting of Telecommunications Masts Bill;

    Ordered, That the Bill be read a second time on Friday 11th May.

7    Divorce (Religious Marriages) Bill,-The Order of the day being read, for resuming the adjourned Debate on the Question proposed on 2nd February, That the Divorce (Religious Marriages) Bill be now read a second time;

    Ordered, That the Debate be resumed on Friday 11th May.

8    Rail Passenger Services Bill,-The Order of the day being read, for the Second Reading of the Rail Passenger Services Bill;

    Ordered, That the Bill be read a second time on Friday 11th May.

9    Climate Change Bill,-The Order of the day being read, for the Second Reading of the Climate Change Bill;

    Ordered, That the Bill be read a second time on Friday 11th May.

10    Adjournment,-A Motion was made, and the Question being proposed, That this House do now adjourn-(Mr Ian Pearson);

    And the Motion having been made after half-past Two o'clock, and the Debate having continued for half an hour, the Deputy Speaker adjourned the House without Question put, pursuant to the Standing Order, it being then two minutes past Three o'clock, till Monday 30th April.
