PRAYERS.

1    Sex Discrimination (Clubs and Other Private Associations) Bill,-Mr Roger Gale reported from Standing Committee C, That it had gone through the Sex Discrimination (Clubs and Other Private Associations) Bill and directed him to report the same, without Amendment.

    Bill, not amended in the Standing Committee, to be considered on Friday 18th June.

    Minutes of Proceedings of the Committee to be printed [No. 679].

2    Second Standing Committee on Delegated Legislation,-Mr Mike Hancock reported from the Second Standing Committee on Delegated Legislation the draft British Transport Police (Transitional and Consequential Provisions) Order 2004.

    Minutes of Proceedings of the Committee to lie upon the Table.

3    Domestic Violence, Crime and Victims Bill [Lords],-The Domestic Violence, Crime and Victims Bill [Lords] was, according to Order, read a second time.

4    Domestic Violence, Crime and Victims Bill [Lords] (Programme),-A Motion was made, and the Question being put forthwith, pursuant to Orders [28th June 2001 and 6th November 2003 (Programming of Bills)], That the following provisions shall apply to the Domestic Violence, Crime and Victims Bill [Lords]:

    Committal

    1. The Bill shall be committed to a Standing Committee.

    Proceedings in Standing Committee

    2. Proceedings in the Standing Committee shall (so far as not previously concluded) be brought to a conclusion on Tuesday 6th July 2004.

    3. The Standing Committee shall have leave to sit twice on the first day on which it meets.

    Consideration and Third Reading

    4. Proceedings on consideration shall (so far as not previously concluded) be brought to a conclusion one hour before the moment of interruption on the day on which those proceedings commenced.

    5. Proceedings on Third Reading shall (so far as not previously concluded) be brought to a conclusion at the moment of interruption on that day.

    6. Sessional Order B (programming committees) made on 28th June 2001 shall not apply to proceedings on consideration and Third Reading.

    Other proceedings

    7. Any other proceedings on the Bill (including any proceedings on consideration of Lords Amendments or on any further Message from the Lords) may be programmed-(Mr John Heppell):-It was agreed to.

5    Domestic Violence, Crime and Victims Bill [Lords] [Money],-Her Majesty's Recommendation having been signified to the proposed Motion relating to Domestic Violence, Crime and Victims Bill [Lords] [Money];

    A Motion was made, and the Question being put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 52 (Money and ways and means resolutions in connection with bills), That, for the purposes of any Act resulting from the Domestic Violence, Crime and Victims Bill [Lords], it is expedient to authorise the payment out of money provided by Parliament of-

    (a) any expenditure incurred by the Secretary of State in consequence of the Act, and

    (b) any increase attributable to the Act in the sums payable out of money provided by Parliament under another enactment-(Mr John Heppell):-It was agreed to.

6    Health Care and Associated Professions,-A Motion was made, and the Question being put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 118 (Standing Committees on Delegated Legislation), That the draft Health Professions (Operating Department Practitioners and Miscellaneous Amendments) Order 2004, which was laid before this House on 28th April, be approved-(Mr John Heppell):-It was agreed to.

7    Northern Ireland,-A Motion was made, and the Question being put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 118 (Standing Committees on Delegated Legislation), That the Mental Health (Amendment) (Northern Ireland) Order 2004 (S.I., 2004, No. 1272), dated 6th May 2004, a copy of which was laid before this House on 10th May, be approved-(Mr John Heppell):-It was agreed to.

8    Northern Ireland,-A Motion was made, and the Question being put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 118 (Standing Committees on Delegated Legislation), That the draft Licensing (Indoor Arenas) (Northern Ireland) Order 2004, which was laid before this House on 10th May, be approved-(Mr John Heppell):-It was agreed to.

9    Broadcasting,-A Motion was made, and the Question being put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 118 (Standing Committees on Delegated Legislation), That the draft Broadcasting (Original Productions) Order 2004, which was laid before this House on 10th May, be approved-(Mr John Heppell):-It was agreed to.

10    Licensing,-A Motion was made, and the Question being put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 118 (Standing Committees on Delegated Legislation) and Order [17th May], That this House approves the draft Guidance issued under section 182 of the Licensing Act 2003, which was laid before this House on 23rd March, insofar as it relates to guidance to licensing authorities on the discharge of their functions under that Act-(Mr John Heppell):-It was agreed to.

11    Customs and Excise,-A Motion was made, and the Question being put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 118 (Standing Committees on Delegated Legislation), That the Beer from Small Breweries (Extension of Reduced Rates of Excise Duty) Order 2004 (S.I., 2004, No. 1296), dated 10th May 2004, a copy of which was laid before this House on 10th May, be approved-(Mr John Heppell):-It was agreed to.

12    Culture, Media and Sport,-Ordered, That Charles Hendry be discharged from the Culture, Media and Sport Committee and Mr Nick Hawkins be added.-(Mr John McWilliam, on behalf of the Committee of Selection.)

13    European Scrutiny,-Ordered, That Mr Mark Hendrick be discharged from the European Scrutiny Committee and Anne Picking be added.-(Mr John McWilliam, on behalf of the Committee of Selection.)

14    Adjournment,-A Motion was made, and the Question being proposed, That this House do now adjourn-(Mr John Heppell);

    And the Motion having been made at Ten o'clock, and the Debate having continued for half an hour, the Speaker adjourned the House, without Question put, pursuant to the Standing Order, till to-morrow.
