4 Staff Regulations of Officials of the European Communities,-A Motion was made, and the Question being put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. No.119 (European Standing Committees), That this House takes note of European Union Document No. 15185/03, draft Council Regulation amending the Staff Regulations of officials and the Conditions of Employment of other servants of the European Communities; supports the Government's view that this is a major step in the Commission's reform programme in establishing a modernised human resources policy for the European Union institutions; and welcomes the adoption of the new Staff Regulations in promoting merit, efficiency, staff development and providing for significant long-term savings in the European Union budget-(Mr Nick Ainger):-It was agreed to.
5 Police,-A Motion was made, and the Question being put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. No.118 (Standing Committees on Delegated Legislation), That the draft Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 (Codes of Practice) Order 2004, which was laid before this House on 27th May, be approved-(Mr Nick Ainger):-It was agreed to.
