1    Review of Intelligence on Weapons of Mass Destruction,-Ordered, That there be laid before this House a Return of the Report of the Review of Intelligence on Weapons of Mass Destruction-(Bridget Prentice.)

2    Eighth Standing Committee on Delegated Legislation,-Mrs Irene Adams reported from the Eighth Standing Committee on Delegated Legislation the draft Extradition Act 2003 (Amendment to Designations) Order 2004 and the draft Extradition Act 2003 (Repeals) Order 2004.

3    Eleventh Standing Committee on Delegated Legislation,-Mr Joe Benton reported from the Eleventh Standing Committee on Delegated Legislation the draft Student Fees (Amounts) (England) Regulations 2004 .

5    Corporate Killing Bill,-The Order for reading the Corporate Killing Bill a second time on Friday 16th July was read and discharged.

    Bill to be read a second time on Friday 15th October.

6    Message from the Lords,-A Message was brought from the Lords, as follows:

    The Lords agree without Amendment to the Amendments made by this House to the Lords Amendments to the Asylum and Immigration (Treatment of Claimants, etc.) Bill with consequential Amendments to certain Lords Amendments, to which they desire the concurrence of this House; and they agree without Amendment to the Amendments proposed by this House in lieu of the remaining Lords Amendments.

    Companies (Audit, Investigations and Community Enterprise) Bill,-The Lords have passed a Bill to amend the law relating to company auditors and accounts and company investigations; to make provision for community interest companies; and for connected purposes, to which they desire the concurrence of this House.

7    Asylum and Immigration (Treatment of Claimants, etc.) Bill,-Lords Amendments to Lords Amendments, consequential on Commons Amendments to the Asylum and Immigration (Treatment of Claimants, etc.) Bill to be considered to-morrow; and to be printed [Bill 141].

8    Companies (Audit, Investigations and Community Enterprise) Bill,-The Companies (Audit, Investigations and Community Enterprise) Bill was read the first time and ordered to be read a second time to-morrow; and to be printed [Bill 142].

    Ordered, That the Explanatory Notes relating to the Companies (Audit, Investigations and Community Enterprise) Bill be printed [Bill 142-EN].

9    Regional Assemblies' Referendums (Voting Arrangements),-Ordered, That leave be given to bring in a Bill to make provision about the voting arrangements for regional assemblies' referendums: And that Charles Hendry, Mr Graham Brady, Mr Nigel Evans, Mr Frank Field, Mr Roger Godsiff, Mr Stephen O'Brien, Mr George Osborne, Mr Graham Stringer, Miss Anne McIntosh and Mr Tim Collins do prepare and bring it in.

10    Regional Assemblies' Referendums (Voting Arrangements) Bill,-Charles Hendry accordingly presented a Bill to make provision about the voting arrangements for regional assemblies' referendums: And the same was read the first time; and ordered to be read a second time on Friday 15th October and to be printed [Bill 140].

11    Patents Bill [Lords],-The House, according to Order, proceeded to consider the Patents Bill [Lords], as amended in the Standing Committee.

    A Clause (NC1) (Costs and expenses in infringement proceedings etc)-(Mr Gerry Sutcliffe)-brought up, read the first and second time and added to the Bill.

    Amendments (Nos. 1 and 2) made to the Bill.

    A Motion was made, and the Question being proposed, That the Bill be now read the third time;

    And it being half-past One o'clock, the Speaker, pursuant to Order [12th July], put the Question already proposed from the Chair:-It was agreed to.

    The Bill was accordingly read the third time, and passed, with Amendments.

12    Adjournment (Public expenditure),-A Motion was made, and the Question being proposed, That this House do now adjourn-(Margaret Moran);

    And it being Seven o'clock, the Motion for the Adjournment of the House lapsed, without Question put.

13    Business of the House,-Ordered, That, at the sitting on Wednesday 21st July, notwithstanding the provisions of Standing Order No. 16 (Proceedings under an Act or on European Union documents), the Speaker shall put the Questions necessary to dispose of proceedings on the Motions in the name of Mr Secretary Prescott relating to Devolution not later than three hours after the commencement of proceedings on the first Motion; proceedings may continue after the moment of interruption; and the Orders of the House of 28th June 2001 and 6th November 2003 relating to deferred Divisions shall not apply.-(Bridget Prentice.)

14    Public Petitions,-A Public Petition from Mr Brian Keeler and others for a change of Government policy on post office closures and for provision of full banking services at post offices to improve their viability was presented and read; and ordered to lie upon the Table and to be printed.
