The House met at half-past Ten o'clock.


1    Greater London Authority Bill,—Ann Winterton reported a memorandum from the Greater London Authority Bill Committee.

    Memorandum to lie upon the Table and to be published.

2    Offender Management Bill,—Mr Peter Atkinson reported from the Offender Management Bill Committee that it had come to the following Resolution:

    That, subject to the discretion of the Chair, any written evidence received by the Committee shall be reported to the House for publication.

3    Fifth Delegated Legislation Committee,—David Taylor reported from the Fifth Delegated Legislation Committee the Excise Duties (Surcharges or Rebates) (Hydrocarbon Oils etc.) (Revocation) Order 2006 (S.I., 2006, No. 3235), and the draft Excepted Vehicles (Amendment of Schedule 1 to the Hydrocarbon Oil Duties Act 1979) Order 2006.

4    Adjournment (Social exclusion),—A Motion was made, and the Question being proposed, That this House do now adjourn—(Steve McCabe);

    The Motion was, with leave of the House, withdrawn.

5    Adjournment,—A Motion was made, and the Question being proposed, That this House do now adjourn—(Liz Blackman);

    And it being Six o'clock, the Motion for the adjournment of the House lapsed, without Question put.

6    Adjournment,—Resolved, That this House do now adjourn.—(Liz Blackman.)

    And accordingly, the House, having continued to sit till twenty-four minutes past Six o'clock, adjourned till Monday 15th January.

2    European Union Document No. 13347/06 relating to EU Enlargement: Bulgaria and Romania,—The Committee of Selection has discharged Mr Ian McCartney and Mr Neil Turner from the European Standing Committee (nominated in respect of the Document) and nominated in substitution Mr Geoffrey Hoon and Alison Seabeck.
