PRAYERS.
1Death of a Member,—The Speaker made the following communication to the House:
 
        I regret to have to report to the House the death of the Right honourable Derek John Fatchett, Member for Leeds Central. I am sure that honourable Members of all parties will join me in mourning the loss of a colleague and in extending our sympathy to the family and friends of the Right honourable Gentleman.
2Northern Ireland (Location of Victims' Remains) Bill,—The Order of the day being read, for the Second Reading of the Northern Ireland (Location of Victims' Remains) Bill;
 
        And a Motion being made, and the Question being put, That the Bill be now read a second time;
 
        The House divided.
 
          Tellers for the Ayes, Mr Robert Ainsworth, Mr David Jamieson: 289.
 
          Tellers for the Noes, Mr William Ross, Mr Desmond Swayne: 10.
 
        So the Question was agreed to.
 
        The Bill was accordingly read a second time.
 
        A Motion was made, and the Question being put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 63 (Committal of bills), That the Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House—(Mr John McFall):—It was agreed to.
 
        Committee to-morrow.
3Northern Ireland (Location of Victims' Remains) Bill [Money],—Her Majesty's Recommendation having been signified to the proposed Motion relating to Northern Ireland (Location of Victims' Remains) Bill [Money];
 
        A Motion was made, and the Question being put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 52 (Money resolutions and ways and means resolutions in connection with bills), That, for the purposes of any Act resulting from the Northern Ireland (Location of Victims' Remains) Bill, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of money provided by Parliament of any expenditure incurred by the Secretary of State under the Act—(Mr David Clelland):—It was agreed to.
4Adjournment,—Resolved, That this House do now adjourn.—(Mr David Clelland.)
 
        And accordingly the House, having continued to sit till twelve minutes to Nine o'clock, adjourned till to-morrow.
