1Health Bill [Lords],—Mr Joe Benton reported from Standing Committee A, That it had gone through the Health Bill [Lords], and made Amendments thereunto, and had amended the Title as follows:
 
        A Bill to amend the law about the national health service; make provision in relation to arrangements and payments between health service bodies and local authorities with respect to health and health-related functions; confer power to regulate any professions concerned (wholly or partly) with the physical or mental health of individuals; and for connected purposes.
 
        Bill, as amended in the Standing Committee, to be considered to-morrow; and to be printed [Bill 110].
 
        Minutes of Proceedings of the Committee to be printed [No. 483].
2Waiting Times (National Health Service),—Ordered, That leave be given to bring in a Bill to require the publication of average patient waiting times for first outpatient appointments by specialty and average patient waiting times for treatment by specialty; and for connected purposes: And that Mr David Amess, Mrs Angela Browning, Sir Sydney Chapman, Mr Michael Fabricant, Mr Andrew Lansley, Mr Edward Leigh, Miss Anne McIntosh, Mr John Randall, Mrs Marion Roe, Mr Robert Syms, Mr Andrew Tyrie, and Mr Robert Walter do prepare and bring it in.
3Waiting Times (National Health Service) Bill,—Mr David Amess accordingly presented a Bill to require the publication of average patient waiting times for first outpatient appointments by specialty and average patient waiting times for treatment by specialty; and for connected purposes: And the same was read the first time; and ordered to be read a second time on Friday 11th June and to be printed [Bill 111].
4Adjournment (European Union),—A Motion was made, and the Question being proposed, That this House do now adjourn—(Mr Graham Allen);
 
        And it being Ten o'clock, the Motion for the adjournment of the House lapsed, without Question put.
5Northern Ireland Grand Committee,—A Motion was made, and the Question being put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 116 (Northern Ireland Grand Committee (sittings)), That the Order of the House of 2nd December relating to sittings of the Northern Ireland Grand Committee shall have effect with the substitution in line 3 for the words '10th June' of the words '24th June'—(Mr David Clelland):—It was agreed to.
6Business of the House,—Ordered, That, at the sitting on Wednesday 26th May—
 
        (1) the Speaker shall put the Questions necessary to dispose of proceedings on the Motions in the names of Margaret Beckett or Mrs Marion Roe relating to—
 
          (a) Line of Route not later than two hours after the Motion has been entered upon;
 
          (b) Financial Assistance to Opposition Parties not later than one and a half hours after the Motion has been entered upon;
 
    and the second Motion may be entered upon and proceeded with, though opposed, after Ten o'clock;
 
        (2) the Questions referred to in paragraph (1) shall include the Questions on any Amendments selected by the Speaker which may then be moved; and
 
        (3) the Motion in the name of Margaret Beckett relating to Select Committees (Quorum) may be entered upon and proceeded with, though opposed, after Ten o'clock.—(Mr David Clelland.)
7Public Petitions,—A Public Petition from Christian Action for Justice in Immigration Law and others for new and inclusive nationality legislation was presented and read; and ordered to lie upon the Table and to be printed.
8Adjournment,—A Motion was made, and the Question being proposed, That this House do now adjourn—(Mr David Clelland);
 
        And the Motion having being made after Ten o'clock, and the Debate having continued for half an hour, the Deputy Speaker adjourned the House, without Question put, pursuant to the Standing Order, it being then twenty-eight minutes to Eleven o'clock, till to-morrow.
