The House met at half-past Nine o'clock.
PRAYERS.
1Public Petitions,—A Public Petition from Martin Bowers, Chairman and company director, and Fred Cutts, Trustee, of the Peacock Gymnasium, London E16, for the extension of the Gaming Act 1968 to allow casinos to operate in the Docklands area of London was presented and read; and ordered to lie upon the Table and to be printed.
2Adjournment (Tourism in the new millennium),—A Motion was made, and the Question being proposed, That this House do now adjourn—(Mr Greg Pope);
 
        And it being half-past Two o'clock, the Motion for the Adjournment of the House lapsed, without Question put.
3Business of the House,—Ordered, That, at the sitting on Monday 21st June, notwithstanding Standing Order No. 16 (Proceedings under an Act or on European Union documents), the Speaker shall put the Question on the Motion in the name of Secretary Marjorie Mowlam relating to the draft Appropriation (No. 2) (Northern Ireland) Order not later than three hours after the commencement of proceedings thereon; and the said Motion may be entered upon and proceeded with, though opposed, after Ten o'clock.—(Jim Dowd.)
4Adjournment,—A Motion was made, and the Question being proposed, That this House do now adjourn—(Mr Jim Dowd);
