Mr. Hinchliffe : To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what is the present status and location of HMS Dreadnought ; and what plans his Department has for her disposal.
Mr. Sainsbury : Dreadnought has been decommissioned and is berthed at HM naval base, Rosyth. No decisions have yet been taken about how she will be disposed of.
Mr. Sayeed : To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what progress his Department has made in evaluating the offset reports submitted by Boeing under the terms of the airborne warning and control system offset agreement.
Mr. Sainsbury : Boeing has to date submitted three progress reports claiming offset for contracts valued at $628.3 million. Of the contract values claimed in the first two reports $147.7 million has been approved and $77.5 million rejected as not complying with the agreement. The balance, largely relating to contract values in the third report which has only recently been received, is under evaluation.
