Mr. Dobson : To ask the Secretary of State for Employment, pursuant to his answer of 3 June, Official Report, column 108, what information he can provide on energy consumption for 1989-90 and 1990-91 to update, on a comparable basis, the information given in his answer of 30 April 1990, Official Report, column 448.

Mr. Cox : To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what has been the number of suicides by inmates at prisons in England and Wales since 1 January.

Mrs. Rumbold : Between 1 January and 18 June 1991, 16 prisoners died at their own hand in prison service custody.
