Motion made, and Question put,
That--
(1) In section 6(1) of the Hydrocarbons Oil Duties Act 1979 for "£0.3314" and "£0.2770" there shall be substituted "£0.3526" and "£0.3044" respectively.
(2) In section 8 of that Act the following subsection shall be substituted for subsections (3) to (5)--
"(3) The rate of the duty under this section shall be £0.3314 a kilogram"
(3)In section 11(1) of that Act for "£0.0116" and "£0.0164" there shall be substituted"£0.0166" and "£0.0214" respectively.
(4) In section 14(1) of that Act for "£0.0116" there shall be substituted
"£0.0166".
(5) This Resolution shall come into force at 6 o' clock in the evening of 29th November 1994. .
And it is hereby declared that it is expedient in the public interest that this Resolution should have statutory effect under the provisions of the Provisional Collection of Taxes Act 1968. The House divided: Ayes 322, Noes 161.
