That provision may be made amending the meaning of "road vehicle" in the Hydrocarbon Oil Duties Act 1979.

That section 8(7) of the Hydrocarbon Oil Duties Act 1979 may be repealed.

That--
(1) In the Betting and Gaming Duties Act 1981 for the Table set out at the end of section 23 there shall be substituted--

(2) This Resolution shall apply in relation to any gaming machine licence for which an application is made on or after 1st December 1994.
And it is hereby declared that it is expedient in the public interest that this Resolution should have statutory effect under the provisions of the Provisional Collection of Taxes Act 1968.
Resolved,
That provision may be made for excise duty to be charged on licences authorising the provision of amusement machines that are not gaming machines and for the amendment of the enactments relating to gaming machine licence duty.

That--
(1) Schedule 1 to the Vehicle Excise and Registration Act 1994 shall be amended as follows.
(2) In paragraph 1(b) for "£130" there shall be substituted "£135".
(3) In paragraph 3(1)(a) for "£130" there shall be substituted "£135".
(4) In paragraph 10--
(a) in sub-paragraph (2) for "£130" there shall be substituted "£135";
(b) in sub-paragraph (3) for "£360" there shall be substituted "£370".
(5) This Resolution shall apply in relation to licences taken out on or after 30th November 1994.
And it is hereby declared that it is expedient in the public interest that this Resolution should have statutory effect under the provisions of the Provisional Collection of Taxes Act 1968. The House divided: Ayes 323, Noes 78.
