Psychotherapists (Children)

Mr. Simon Hughes: To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many child psychotherapists were working in the NHS in each region for (a) 1979, (b) 1984, (c) 1989 and (d) the latest available year; and if he will make a statement. [1664]

King's Healthcare NHS Trust

Mr. Battle: To ask the Secretary of State for Health what provisions have been made by Kings Healthcare for on-site facilities to continue an integrated centre for epilepsy; and if he will make a statement. [2010]

Mr. Bowis: King's Healthcare National Health Service trust has assured me that it is committed to the Centre for Epilepsy and is working closely with the chairman of the centre to identify precisely how it will be accommodated in the future.

Nursing Agencies

Mr. Morgan: To ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will specify the professional duties of registered

employment agencies which specialise in hiring out auxiliary unqualified and qualified nurses, with respect to advice to client hospitals concerning past offences of falsely claiming nursing qualifications. [1730]

Mr. Sackville: Local authorities are responsible for licensing nurses agencies and for securing their proper conduct. Each placement made by an agency must be supervised by a registered nurse or medical practitioner.
