Dr. John Cunningham: To ask the Secretary of State for National Heritage if she will list the parliamentary constituencies in which (a) no reception and (b) partial reception of the channel 5 television service will be available. [39741]
Mrs. Virginia Bottomley: I regret that it has not been possible to provide an answer before the summer recess. I shall therefore write to the right hon. Member and place a copy of the letter in the Libraries of the House.
Ms Glenda Jackson: To ask the Secretary of State for National Heritage if she will list the number of traffic violations involving departmental vehicles, the nature of the violations, and the total amount of fines arising from those violations, in each year since 1986. [39304]
Mr. Sproat: My Department owns no vehicles. Of my two agencies a departmental vehicle of Historic Royal Palaces was issued with a parking ticket in 1993. The fine was £20.
Mr. Rooker: To ask the Secretary of State for National Heritage if she will make a progress report on the plans for the millennium exhibition funding. [39785]
Mr. Sproat: The Millennium Commission, which is responsible for the organisation and funding of the millennium exhibition, is making satisfactory progress. My right hon. Friend will reply to the hon. Mr. Milburn: To ask the Secretary of State for Health what information the national health service litigation authority has compiled or is compiling on medical negligence cases and claims. [37332]
Mr. Horam: The national health service litigation authority compiles such information as it deems to be necessary to carry out its delegated functions.
Mr. Milburn: To ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will publish a list of trusts in each region which (a) have and (b) have not subscribed to the clinical negligence scheme for trusts, indicating the cost of each annual premium. [37331]
24 Jul 1996 : Column: 501
Mr. Horam: An updated list of members and non-members of the clinical negligence scheme for trusts will be placed in the Library. The scheme is voluntary and is open to all national health service trusts in England. The clinical negligence scheme for trusts represents a pooling arrangement between trusts which is in its first year of operation. Until the scheme has had an opportunity to mature it would not be appropriate to give details of the contribution of individual trusts.
Mr. Milburn: To ask the Secretary of State for Health, pursuant to his answer of 4 December, Official Report, column 44, if he will publish the latest information on clinical negligence claims settled by individual trusts. [37442]
Mr. Horam: I will write to the hon. Member.
Mr. Austin Mitchell: To ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will publish a list showing the number, nature and value of contracts awarded by his Department to Coopers and Lybrand, KPMG, Price Waterhouse, Ernst and Young, Deloitte and Touche, Arthur Andersen, Grant Thornton, BDO Stoy Hayward, Pannell Kerr Forster, and Robson Rhodes and their subsidiaries and associates, during 1995 and 1996. [37327]
Mr. Horam: Information regarding the number of contracts awarded by this Department is not available centrally. The total sums paid those firms listed in 1995-96 are as follows:
1995-96 £ | |

Mr. Milburn: To ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will list the members and occupations of the litigation authority and place in the Library all declarations of interests they have made. [37333]
Mr. Horam: The national health service litigation authority currently has two members: the chairman, Sir Bruce Martin QC, who is a company chairman, and Mr. Ron Bradshaw, a solicitor. An exercise to appoint additional members is currently under way. Declarations of interests for all members will be available from the litigation authority.
Mr. Cousins: To ask the Secretary of State for Health whether two or three drug combination therapy for those with HIV is approved for support within (a) the GP prescribing scheme and (b) hospital trust pharmacies, and if he will make a statement. [37564]
24 Jul 1996 : Column: 502
Mr. Horam: Where different drug regimes are available, it is a matter for general practitioners to discuss with patients and decide on the best form of treatment. Likewise, hospital clinicians prescribe medicines to meet patients' clinical needs, and these are supplied by the hospital pharmacy. Unlicensed drugs can be prescribed on a named patient basis. No specific instructions have been issued on drug combination therapies for HIV, but the Department recommends developing local strategies for the managed entry of new medicines into the national health service, making use of evidence of their clinical and cost effectiveness.
Mr. Nigel Jones: To ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will make a statement on his policy for the future of independent community pharmacists. [38013]

Mr. Jones: To ask the Secretary of State for Health (1) if he will list those dispensing companies with more than 10 outlets and the number of prescriptions each of those companies dispensed in each year since 1990; [38011]
Mr. Malone: This information is not available centrally.
Mr. Cox: To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many joint ventures are currently established between the NHS and the private sector in hospitals covering the Greater London area; and if he will list each project and hospital involved. [37858]
Mr. Horam: There are eight schemes currently completed or under way in the Greater London area--London boroughs included--that have gone forward under the private finance initiative. A number of other joint ventures are established for schemes which have not yet had full business case approval. Information is shown in the table.
