Mrs. Helen Jackson: To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer (1) if appointments to the regulatory body set up to oversee the operation of the landfill tax will be made by open competition; [40877]
(3) if he will list the landfill operators in the south Yorkshire region who had registered their liability for landfill tax on 1 September; [40879]
(4) how many landfill operators in each Customs and Excise region had registered their liability as landfill operators on 1 September; [40878]
(5) if he will list the members of the regulatory body to oversee the operation of the landfill tax already appointed.[40876]
Mr. Oppenheim: I cannot answer substantively before Parliament is prorogued. I will, however, write to the hon. Member.
Mr. Redmond: To ask the Chancellor of the

Exchequer if he will set up a free phone hotline for the reporting of suspected income tax fraud; and if he will make a statement. [40830]
Mr. Jack: The Inland Revenue already has arrangements for the receipt of information, which it publicises in the local and regional press as part of its normal compliance activities, and receives a substantial amount of information from concerned members of the public. Any member of the public who wishes to report suspected tax evasion can do so by telephoning any tax office in the knowledge that all such calls are treated in strict confidence. Thus the Government have no immediate plans to introduce a specific hotline for suspected income tax fraud.
Mr. O'Hara: To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer on how many occasions since his appointment he has made use of each of his official residences. [41329]
Mr. Kenneth Clarke: I live in 11 Downing street, and stay at Dorneywood from time to time.
Mr. O'Hara: To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is the annual cost to the Exchequer of the management and maintenance of each of his official residences. [41330]
Mrs. Angela Knight: I cannot answer substantively before Parliament is prorogued. I will, however, write to the hon. Member.
Mr. Hain: To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer for those that are currently claiming unemployment-related benefits how many (a) men and (b) women for whom the interval in weeks between the latest and previous claim was (i) four or less, (ii) over four and up to 13, (iii) over 13 and up to 26, (iv) over 26 and up to 39, (v) over 39 and up to 52, (vi) over 52 and up to 104 and (vii) over 104 and those who had made no previous claim there are in (i) each standard region of England, (2) Wales, (3) Scotland and (4) Great Britain.
