Dr. Jones: To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many people who were convicted of a criminal offence, punishable by a prison sentence, as part of their sentence, were also ordered to be deported; how many deportations were effected; what were the nationalities of those deported; and what were the gender of those deported in each of the years 1992, 1993, 1994 and 1995 and from the first of January this year to date. [1045]

The data include persons who did not receive a custodial sentence: five such persons were recommended for deportation in 1995 but further information on these persons and for other years could be provided only at disproportionate cost.
