Promotional and public information campaigns are defined in this answer as multi-media campaigns containing newspaper, radio, TV or poster advertising in addition to leaflet production and distribution. All the advertising work was placed through the Central Office of Information in accordance with normal practice. A range of other contractors worked on various aspects of the campaigns.
4 Dec 1996 : Column: 671
The costs given are the total costs of the campaigns. It would be possible to disaggregate the costs of the Department's own staff in arranging and supervising the campaigns only at disproportionate cost.
