OJ No. C340
(12 Nov 96)

Annual Report of the Court of Auditors concerning the financial year 1995, together with the replies of the institutions.
Legal base: Article 188c.

Background

1.1  When we considered this Annual Report last week, we concluded that it raised matters of political importance, but deferred a decision on a debate until we had received the Court's Statement of Assurance on the Community's 1995 accounts and the Government's Explanatory Memorandum on it.

Further consideration

1.2  We have now received these documents and report on them in paragraph 2. We have recommended a debate and consider that the Court of Auditors Annual Report for 1995 should be debated at the same time.

2  (17750) OJ No. C 340; see HC 36-xi (1996-97), paragraph 10 (29 January 1997). Back
