SCHEDULE 1
 
  MINIMUM AMOUNT OF SPACE WHICH MUST BE PROVIDED FOR PIGS KEPT IN A GROUP IN A BUILDING
      The unobstructed floor area available to each rearing pig kept in a group in a building must be at least-
 
 
    (a) 0.30 square metres for each pig where the average weight of the pigs in the group is 10kg or less;
 
    (b) 0.40 square metres for each pig where the average weight of the pigs in the group is more than 10kg but less than or equal to 20kg;
 
    (c) 0.60 square metres for each pig where the average weight of the pigs in the group is more than 20kg but less than or equal to 30 kg;
 
    (d) 0.80 square metres for each pig where the average weight of the pigs in the group is more than 30kg but less than or equal to 50 kg;
 
    (e) 1.10 square metres for each pig where the average weight of the pigs in the group is more than 50kg but less than or equal to 85kg;
 
    (f) 1.30 square metres for each pig where the average weight of the pigs in the group is more than 85kg but less than or equal to 110kg;
 
    (g) 2.00 square metres for each pig where the average weight of the pigs in the group is more than 110kg.
