| EXPLANATORY MEMORANDUM | |
| The Bill makes amendments to the Water Industry Act 1991 ("the 1991 Act"). It provides for the adoption of certain sewers and sewage disposal works by a sewerage undertaker if so requested by an owner or group of owners. | |
| There are no financial or manpower implications for the Government. The cost of the adoption and maintenance of sewers and sewage disposal works will be met by the relevant undertakers. | |
