  PART III
  SUPPLEMENTAL PROVISIONS
Repeals.     25. The enactments mentioned in Schedule 5 to this Act are hereby repealed to the extent specified in the third column of that Schedule.
 
Short title, interpretation, commencement and extent.     26. - (1) This Act may be cited as the National Lottery Act 1998.
 
      (2) In this Act "the 1993 Act" means the National Lottery etc. Act 1993.
 
      (3) The following provisions of this Act, namely-
 
 
    (a) this section,
 
    (b) sections 5 to 11 and 14 to 24,
 
    (c) Schedules 2 to 4, and
 
    (d) section 25 and Schedule 5, so far as relating to the repeals in section 22 of, and paragraphs 2, 3 and 6 of Schedule 5 to, the 1993 Act,
  shall come into force on the day on which this Act is passed.
 
      (4) The remaining provisions of this Act shall come into force at the end of the period of two months beginning with the day on which this Act is passed.
 
      (5) This Act extends to Northern Ireland.
 
      (6) Nothing in this Act shall impose any charge on the people or on public funds, or vary the amount or incidence of or otherwise alter any such charge in any manner, or affect the assessment, levying, administration or application of any money raised by any such charge.
