Licensing (Amendment) Bill | |
B I L L
TO Amend section 169 of the Licensing Act 1964 so that any person selling alcohol to persons under the age of 18 on licensed premises commits an offence. BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- | |
Serving &c of intoxicating liquor to persons under 18. | 1. - (1) Section 169 of the Licensing Act 1964 shall be amended as follows. |
(2) In subsection (1), for the words "the holder of the licence or his servant shall not" substitute "no holder of the licence or other person shall himself or by his agent or servant". | |
(3) In subsection (5), for the words "the holder of the licence or his servant shall not" substitute "no holder of the licence or other person shall himself or by his agent or servant". | |
Citation and extent. | 2. - (1) This Act may be cited as the Licensing (Amendment) Act 1998. |
(2) This Act does not extend to Scotland or Northern Ireland. |
