B I L L INTITULED An Act to extend the obligation to generate electricity from certain fuel sources. BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- | |||||||||
Electricity generated from certain fuel sources. | 1. - (1) Section 32 of the Electricity Act 1989 is amended as follows- | ||||||||

(2) In section 33(5)(b) of the Electricity Act 1989, after the word "station", there are inserted the words "other than a fossil fuel station of a description mentioned in section 32(2)(b)". | |||||||||
Short title, commencement and extent. | 2. - (1) This Act may be cited as the Electricity Generation Act 1998. | ||||||||
(2) Section 1 of this Act shall come into force on such day as the Secretary of State may by order made by statutory instrument appoint. | |||||||||
(3) This Act does not extend to Northern Ireland. |
