Greater London Debate
Mr Richard Ottaway NC11 To move the following Clause:',(1) In addition to the requirements of section 37 above, the Mayor shall once a year attend a meeting of the Assembly convened for the sole purpose of debating the annual report, to be known as the "Greater London Debate". (2) A Greater London Debate shall be held on a date to be determined, on not less than three months' notice, by the Mayor
(3) As soon as practicable following the Greater London Debate, the Mayor should with Members of the Assembly, hold a meeting to which two representatives from each of the London Borough Councils and Common Council are invited to discuss his annual report.'.
Authority public Internet site

(2) Before implementing proposals for greater financial autonomy with tax-varying powers, a referendum of those entitled to vote in ordinary elections shall be held in which a simple majority of those voting shall be required to allow the tax-varying proposals to be implemented.'.
