'Public Directors

         2A—.(1) Transport for London shall include up to eight members (referred to in this section as "Public Directors") who shall be elected to that office for a period of 24 months, two each by the members of the following eligible classes of person:

      (a) persons who at the relevant time hold a season ticket to travel on any passenger transport service to, from or within Greater London which is provided under a franchise agreement pursuant to section 30, 37 or 38 of the Railways Act 1993 (each such person having one vote for every whole period of four weeks duration covered by the season ticket at the time when it was purchased);

      (b) persons who at the relevant time hold a season ticket to travel on the London Underground (each such person having one vote for every whole period of four weeks duration covered by the season ticket at the time when it was purchased);

      (c) persons who hold driver licenses under the Metropolitan Public Carriage Act 1869 (each such person having one vote); and

      (d) persons who are registered as being disabled and at the relevant time are entered on the electoral register for an address within Greater London.

    (2) No person shall be eligible to stand for election as a Public Director unless he is eligible to vote in the election for that Public Director.

    (3) No Person shall be eligible to stand as a Public Director if they are:

      (a) the Mayor;

      (b) an officer or employee of the Authority;

      (c) a member of the Assembly;

      (d) an employee of Transport for London, or any company in which Transport for London holds an interest, or the subsidiary of any such company; and

      (e) the spouse of any such person mentioned in (a) to (d) above.'.
