GENERAL |
| Meaning of financial year. |
30. In this Act "financial year" means a year beginning with 1st April.

| Finance. |
31. There shall be paid out of money provided by Parliament-
|
| |
(a) any increase attributable to this Act in the sums so payable under any other enactment; |
| |
(b) any expenses of the Secretary of State under this Act. |
| Repeals. |
32. The provisions mentioned in Schedule 2 are repealed to the extent specified, subject to any provision of that Schedule.

| Extent. |
33. - (1) Subject to subsection (2), this Act extends to England and Wales only.
|
| |
(2) An amendment by this Act of a provision of another Act has the same extent as the provision amended (except in the case of section 20 and Part I of Schedule 2).

| Short title. |
34. This Act may be cited as the Local Government Act 1999.
