    '(2A) If any provision of a draft would establish a regulatory body as the successor to the Council for Professions Supplementary to Medicine sub-paragraphs (2B) and (2C) shall apply instead of sub-paragraph (1).

    (2B) If it is proposed to lay a draft of an Order before Parliament, the Secretary of State must first invite representations to be made to him by persons appearing to him appropriate to represent each profession to be regulated about which of the matters mentioned in paragraph (1) should be regulated by a single-profession body and by sub-committees of such a body, the majority of members of which, and the Chairman of which, shall be members of the profession in question.

    (2C) After the end of the period of three months beginning with the invitation to make representations, the Secretary of State may—

      (a) publish a draft of an Order, and

      (b) publish a report about the consultation

      (c) invite further representations to be made to him about the draft by persons appearing to him appropriate to represent the profession to be regulated, persons appearing to him appropriate to represent those provided with services by the profession and any other person appearing to him appropriate to consult about the draft.'.

      (a) publish a draft Order,

      (b) publish a report about the consultation, and

      (c) invite further representations to be made to him about the draft by persons appearing to him appropriate to represent the profession to be regulated, persons appearing to him appropriate to represent those provided with services by the profession and any other person he may think fit.'.
