Some examples of Train Operator/local Authority partnerships of relevance to the Government's Transport Policy

    —  Thames Trains is working with local authorities in the Oxford area on integrated Goring-Wallingford bus route.

    —  Wales and West are working with local authorities and the MoD to reduce car travel to the Abbey Wood (Bristol) office premises.

    —  North Western Trains has a quality partnerships initiative with greater Manchester local authorities.

    —  In Lincolnshire, Central trains are working with local authorities on jointly funding passenger information systems.

    —  Fife Regional Council is working with ScotRail to purchase additional trains.

    —  Hammersmith and Fulham Council (London) are working with train operators to fund a new West Brompton rail station.

    —  ScotRail and Porterbrook Leasing are working to fit cycle facilities on the majority of ScotRail trains.

    —  Oxford Station is fitting cycle facilities as part of the national cycling initiative with Raleigh.

    —  Across the network, local authorities are working with train operators to fund many disabled ramps at stations.

    —  Bedford station is fitting lists for disabled use.
