Footnotes:

1.  The 1999-2000 unified allocations cover spending on hospital and community health services (HCHS), general practice infrastructure and prescribing. They are not therefore comparable with HA allocations for earlier years which cover HCHS only. The reply to question 4.6 refers.

2.  The table shows the allocations announced in November 1998. On 1 April 1999 East Norfolk, North West Anglia and Cambridge and Huntingdon Health Authorities merged to form two new health authorities; Norfolk and Cambridgeshire. The HAs concerned are working through the effects on their allocations.

3.  Cross boundary adjustments are sums transferred for patients who became the responsibility of another HA from 1 April 1999 as a result of PCG configurations. The reply to question 4.6 refers.

4.  The Out of Area Treatment adjustments are non-recurrent adjustments to 1999-2000 allocations.
