APPENDIX 12
Letter from HM Treasury to the Clerk of
the Committee
Thank you for your letter of 24 June.
I enclose updated versions of the tables provided
by Customs and Excise in their paper of 18 February[3].
You also asked for information on the extent
to which differentials in fuel prices between other Member States
distort competition in the fuel market in the way in which they
apparently do in Northern Ireland. I regret that we do not have
any information on this.
