Select Committee on Procedure Fourth Report

BUDGETS

39. The Government's position is that while payments to the devolved legislatures will be a matter for the United Kingdom Parliament, the use the devolved legislatures make of such funds and the audit of such expenditure will be a matter for them. The Government has suggested "that NAO, NIAO and PAC reports made after devolution, but relating to events before devolution, should be copied to the devolved legislatures".[68] This is a matter for the Committee of Public Accounts, but we stress that, once published, such reports are public documents and available to the devolved legislatures.
