Extract from the Votes and Proceedings of the House of Commons, 8 July 1997: "Ordered, That - Standing Order No.152 (Select Committees related to government departments) be amended- (2) by leaving out line 10 and inserting the words ... `the Environment, Transport and Regional Affairs Committee shall have the power to appoint two sub-committees'".
