acting jointly. (2) The duties imposed on a Passenger Transport Authority for a passenger transport area by sections 92(1)(b), 93(5) and (6) and 94(3) are also duties of each of the councils for the metropolitan districts comprised in the area.'.
National road safety plan
Mr Bernard Jenkin NC1 To move the following Clause:'(1) The Secretary of State shall develop and implement policies for the promotion of the safety of all road users. (2) The Secretary of State shall prepare each year a document which shall be known as the national road safety plan containing his policies under subsection (1), which shall be laid before Parliament for approval by both Houses of Parliament before coming into effect. (3) The plan shall contain targets for the reductions of deaths and injuries among all road users and pedestrians and explanations of the means for achieving those reductions.'.
